I’m Vanessa, an architect and ceramicist with a deep passion for designing spaces that feel intentional, refined, and deeply personal. Born in Miami and raised in the town of Davie, Florida, I graduated from SCI-Arc and built my experience in the offices of Eric Owen Moss, Marmol Radziner, and Kevin Daly. Over 11 years, I worked on luxury homes, tech campuses, and affordable housing projects before taking the leap to start my own practice. I now focus on creating refined, deeply personal spaces shaped by material, craft, and the realities of how people actually live.

My design approach is rooted in understanding the human experience, focusing on how movement, materiality, and light shape our interactions with space. I draw inspiration from my Colombian heritage, particularly Pre-Columbian symbolism and craftsmanship, which influences my sensitivity to form, texture, and timelessness in architecture.

In addition to architecture, my ceramic work explores the intersection of artistry and utility, reinforcing my belief that good design exists at every scale. Whether shaping a vessel or shaping a home, my process is patient and precise, always honoring the balance between aesthetics and purpose.

I started my practice to bring high-level design thinking to everyday people, making architecture more accessible without compromising sophistication. Soy Vanessa, arquitecta y ceramista, apasionada por diseñar espacios que se sientan intencionales, refinados y profundamente personales. Nací en Miami y me crié en Davie, Florida. Me gradué de SCI-Arc y desarrollé mi experiencia en las oficinas de Eric Owen Moss, Marmol Radziner y Kevin Daly. Durante 11 años trabajé en casa lujosas, campus tecnológicos y proyectos de vivienda asequible, antes de dar el salto y establecer mi propio estudio. Hoy me enfoco en crear espacios refinados y profundamente personales, definidos por el material, los detalles, y las realidades de cómo la gente realmente vive.

La raíz que guía mi diseño es la experiencia humana. Mi atención se enfoca en cómo el movimiento, la materialidad y la luz moldean nuestra relación con un espacio. La gran inspiración de mi vida, mi ancla, es mi herencia Colombiana. El simbolismo y la artesanía precolombina influyen mi sensibilidad hacia la forma, la textura y el poder de la arquitectura.

Además de diseñar espacios, mi trabajo en cerámica explora la intersección entre arte y utilidad, reforzando mi filosofía de que el buen diseño existe en todas las escalas. Ya sea moldeando un frutero o diseñando una casa, mi proceso es paciente y preciso, siempre buscando el equilibrio entre estética y propósito.
